DirectoryCentral/USA
is aware of the privacy and security concerns of its users. This statement explains the privacy
practices for all DirectoryCentral/USA directories.
What Information We
Collect
DirectoryCentral/USA
gathers user information three ways: (1) directly from the user; (2) from our
Web server logs; (3) and with cookies.
User-Supplied
Information: When a user signs up
to be listed in a directory, we will ask for name, address telephone, e-mail
address, and some other personal information, including information allowing for
automatic payment of the applicable fees for the type of listing and services
requested.
Server Log
Information: When a person visits
an Internet Web site, certain information about that person is automatically
given by the visitor’s computer, such as the computer’s Internet Protocol (IP)
address, the time of the visit, and the referring location (for example, the Web
site or page that provided the link to a DirectoryCentral/USA page). We, like many other sites, record this
basic information about visits to our site.
Cookies: In order to provide
customized service, DirectoryCentral/USA may use cookies to store and help track
user information. We use cookies to help identify each user and to deliver
content and services based on the specific user’s account information.
Cookies are small bits
of text sent to a user’s browser from a Web server and stored on the user’s
computer hard drive. Most browsers
accept cookies as the default setting.
A browser can be reset either to notify the user when a cookie is
received, or to refuse to accept cookies at all. Many sites may not function properly if
the user’s browser is set to not accept cookies or if the user rejects a
cookie.
Whenever a user
voluntarily discloses personal information online, such as on message boards,
through e-mail, discussion groups, or in chat areas, that information can be
collected and used by others. Although DirectoryCentral/USA internally protects
the confidential information supplied of the persons and firms that sign up for
directory listings, each such person or firm is responsible for maintaining the
external security of any passwords and account information.
How We Use the
Information
DirectoryCentral/USA
uses information in the following ways, depending on the type of
information:
User-Supplied
Information is used for purposes
such as construction of directory listings, account verification and
billing.
Web Server Log
Information allows
DirectoryCentral/USA to identify the features of our site that are of the most
interest to our visitors. We
collect the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of our visitors for system
administration and to report aggregate information to persons and firms using
our directory listing services. No
individually identifiable information is disclosed to any third party without
the consent of the individual to whom the information pertains.
Cookies are used to give our
users easier access to our services and for monitoring statistical information
that allows us to improve our site.
Cookies allow us to save passwords and preferences for each user so the
user doesn’t have to re-enter the same information at each visit.
Protection of Your
Information
Protection of the
privacy of the confidential information of our users is critical to us. DirectoryCentral/USA does not disclose
confidential personal information to any third parties without permission. Any
user statistics that we provide to the users of our directory listing services
are provided in the aggregate only and do not include any personally
identifiable information about any individual user.
Access to some
DirectoryCentral/USA services and content requires a password. Do not give your user name or password
to anyone. DirectoryCentral/USA
will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an
unsolicited email. You should sign
out of your DirectoryCentral/USA account or service at the end of each
session. The extra step of closing
your browser window when you have finished your session will ensure that others
cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a
computer with someone.
No data transmission
over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and DirectoryCentral/USA
cannot warrant the security of any information during its transmission to
us. However, DirectoryCentral/USA
uses its best efforts and state-of-the-art technology to protect your
confidential personal information once we receive your transmission. If at any time you believe that the
confidentiality of your personal information has been compromised, contact
DirectoryCentral/USA immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
Who Has Access to the
Information
Except as described
below, DirectoryCentral/USA will not intentionally disclose any individually
identifiable information about its users to any third party without first
receiving that user's permission. DirectoryCentral/USA may disclose personal
information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it or to protect
the rights or property of DirectoryCentral/USA.

DirectoryCentral/USA we may send you an e-mail to the address that you supplied
